Ana Krnajski is the brains behind aei : kei, the UK ready to wear fashion label that offers a fresh and exciting range of contemporary women's wear. The Croatian designer moved to London 14 years ago, where she embarked on a jewellery course at Middlesex University. However she switched to fashion design half way through, and this simple decision had an immediate impact. Her first collection after graduating in 1999 was a complete success, and was snapped up by Fashion UK who placed the entire collection on their website. aei : kei has since been exhibiting at both London and Paris fashion week's.

Ana is heavily influenced by her well-travelled childhood; she was born in Zambia and raised in Malaysia. The labels name, aei : kei originated from the phonetics of Ana's initials, which were modified to reflect her Eastern experience.

The Labels design philosophy is to be able to wear one piece of clothing as many different ways as possible, so that every time it feels like a new piece of clothing altogether. This type of multitasking versatility is, in fact the hallmark of all aei : kei garments. aei : kei has created the ultimate label for the women who appreciate cutting detail and slight edge. aei : kei's collections are always inspired by eastern minimalism yet have western decadence. 'I want my collections to be quite minimal and oriental but not too austere or uninviting' she explains. As if designing each season's collection was not enough, Ana also plays a large part in running her business. Being so involved in the company means she can provide a rare kind of service, which is invaluable in today's market.
